On December 7th, our physical store will have been open for one year! 🥳 To mark this occasion, we’re throwing a party weekend in the shop to celebrate! 🎉

We appreciate that many of you shop online, as you’re too far away to visit us in person. We also want to acknowledge our loyal customers who have supported us since our days as an online-only shop. As a token of our gratitude, we are excited to offer 10% off everything on our website for this weekend only!

Please keep in mind that we cannot guarantee stock availability for online orders during the in-store event. However, we will do our best to keep the website updated throughout the weekend. If any item is out of stock, we will refund you.

It's December 🙌 which means....

Our 1 year shop opening anniversary is coming on the 7th 🥳 and we have something SUPER exciting lined up for you to celebrate with us this weekend.

We have NEW Opening Hours moving forward. We will be closing 1 hour earlier to try and open more days per week. Now opening Thursday-Monday. 🎉

This week's rota:

Monday - Our Behaviourist is in to assist and support you with behavioural dillemas, with OH Dog manager Copper on duty

Thursday - Our hamster welfare advisor is in to help you with rodent retail, with OH Dog Bear ready for cuddles

Friday - Resident dog dad is here to help you with finding the best treats & chews for your dog. Reactive dogs welcome for private appointments

Saturday - Cat mom is here to chat all things feline and help you learn how to play with your cats

Sunday - Rabbit & Guinea Pig Welfare Advisor is here to help you choose the best products for your hopping herbivores

Ever wondered about adopting bunnies well our adoption team are in tomorrow from 11 to 5 to answer all your queries.

While we are open 11-5 as normal, we are hosting an adoption event from 12-6 so we kindly ask you to keep doggies outside from 12pm onwards. 💚

Our team are excitedly preparing for lots of lovely bunnies hopping off to their new families. 🐇

SHOP TO SAVE ✨️

We all love saving pennies, but did you know your shopping with us also saves bunnies?

Balado was handed in at the One Hop Shop when someone found her. She had been dumped at Balado Quarry, and domestic rabbits cannot survive being dumped outside. 💔

Thankfully she was handed in to us and she has now gone onto be defleaed, spayed, vaccinated, assessed and has found a loving home. This cost the charity over £350.

Here she is in her foster home having enjoyed lots of treats toys her foster carer treated her to from the shop. 😍

So when you feel guilty having a little shopping splurge, don’t! Because your shopping with us has literally helped save a life. 💚🐇🩵

And if you want to see more of the bunnies we've saved, look at the poloroids on the wall in the shop. 🥰

It's feeling very seasonal now in the OHS 😍 With all our Winter goodies and loads of amazing festive Preloved bargains. Have you seen this amazing big tunnel? 😲🎅

We have a bundle of adorable small dog jumpers at £6 each, a cosy hamster tunnel at £1 and lots of beautiful gift 🎁 ideas. Everything we have is unique and you won't find in other shops. ❄️

If you would like a gift basket made up, we can help! Tell us which pet its for, a bit about them and your budget and we can create you a gift basket and gift wrap it for you with name tag. 🐶🐱 We have items from as low as 50p so it doesn't have to cost much but the personal touch is what counts. ✨️

And please, do consider shopping for your pets and family pets here at the OHS this year instead of at the big shops. All your pennies help us to feed the animals back at the rescue and at this time of year charities like us need a lot of support. 🙏

We are going to be opening 5 days a week all through December, including Saturday's. So there will be plenty of opportunities to shop with us.

The doggy pick & mix table has been "winterified" ❄️ and we have an exciting new addition for you pups! Not only have we got our paws on the very popular JR Ostrich muscle meat sticks, we have an excellent deal on them for you! If you're passing by, they are 60p each or 10 for £5.

Ostrich is a novel protein, safe for dogs with allergies to poultry, fish and beef. These sticks are made from 100% Ostrich muscle meat, nothing else. Great for dogs of all sizes, to enjoy. A nice change from the strips or sausages if you want to try something new. They can be broken up into bits to use as treats too.
