THE BARN IS COMPLETE‼️

Here are photos of our beautiful barn! It consists of two parts - one where the bulls get shelter and one where you can come to interact with them 🥰

There is also a water harvesting system that will collect rainwater to provide drinking water to the bulls. 💦

🐮 PHASE 2: ESTABLISH A PROTECTED DAIRY HERD 🐮

With the construction complete and our first cows arriving shortly, fundraising for Phase 2 of the project is underway. The target is £63,000!

Phase 2 includes:
-Opportunity to get involved in cow protection through hands-on experiences.
-Produce cow protected milk.
-Establish more sustainable livelihoods. through employment in rural agriculture.
-Grow a community of cow supporters.

Thanks to your support we have reached our Phase 1 fundraising target of £17,000!

We will use these funds to:

-Establish the infrastructure and foundation for cow protection in Scotland.

-Demonstrate the value of working oxen in cow protection and sustainability of the planet.

-Encourage the community to form a relationship with cows through membership.

Protecting the cows: If we accept the cow as our mother, she deserves our veneration and love. And we should protect her from all dangers. In Vedic times it was the duty of everyone, especially kings, to protect the cows at all cost.

How can we protect cows today? In the United States alone more than forty million cows will be slaughtered this year to satisfy the demands of meat-eaters. And all over the globe many millions more will be slaughtered for the same reason. Yet this should not discourage us from our goal of cow protection. Even today, when the effects of Kali Yuga (the Age of Ignorance) are so strong, intelligent people can take part in the auspicious act of cow protection in two ways:

Never eat cow flesh (never eat meat!) and thereby never support cow killing. Please also tell others about the sinfulness of cow slaughter.
Help ISKCON farm projects where active cow protection is being practiced under Srila Prabhupada’s direct order.

The ox plows the fields from which grains, fruits, and vegetables are produced. Therefore the cow and ox together provide human beings with the complete foods to satisfy all our nutritional needs.

In return for all the service the cow and ox provide, the Vedas prescribe three duties for human beings toward the cow:

Serving the cow (go-seva)
Worshiping the cow (go-puja)
Protecting the cow (go-rakshya)
