Meet the gorgeous Willow, this week’s superstar at Dogwood Referrals! 💖

Willow had a rare condition called Pes Varus, causing her leg to bend inward, something we occasionally see in dachshunds 🐶.

Working with Fusion Implants, we used custom-made guides to plan and perform surgery that straightened her leg with precision.
She’s now healing brilliantly and already back to her cheeky self! 💪💕

🖤 Guinea Pig nails grow continuously and need to be trimmed to prevent overgrowth, which can cause discomfort and health issues.

🧡Guinea Pigs have sensitive feet so it is essential to handle them carefully during nail trims to avoid causing stress or pain.

🤍Guinea Pigs are social animals and thrive in pairs or groups. Rocky and Ron came in together for moral support for each other.

Adorable Athena 🐈‍⬛

Athena came to Wellcare after unfortunately fracturing her hind leg at only six weeks old! 🦴

After considering all options with our veterinarian Antonis, Athena’s owners decided to go ahead with hind limb amputation.

As you can see from our pictures, Athena woke up and recovered excellently despite the high risk surgery at such a young age.

Vet Antonis has since seen Athena for her post operative check and can confirm she has fully recovered. ❤️‍🩹
We are happy to report, Athena is back to being her normal happy kitten self.
