☀️❗️Heat Reminder for All Dog Owners Today❗️☀️
It’s going to hit 31°C today, and that is far too hot for dogs to be out walking, playing, or sitting in the sun. Even a few minutes in this heat can put them at serious risk of heatstroke.
Please keep your pups indoors, cool, and comfortable.
Friendly reminders-
🚫 No midday walks-
Pavements will be scorching, the air will be heavy, and dogs can overheat incredibly fast — long before they show obvious signs.
🐶 Extra caution for short‑nosed breeds
Brachycephalic dogs like Frenchies, Pugs, Bulldogs, Shih Tzus, and Boxers struggle to regulate their temperature even on mild days. In this heat, they are at extremely high risk. Keep them inside, curtains closed, fans on, and water topped up.
💧 Keep them safe
- Offer cool (not ice‑cold) water
-Use fans or cooling mats
-Avoid car journeys completely
- Let them rest — no exercise today
🧠 If you’ve got a high‑energy dog, there are plenty of safe ways to keep them busy without stepping outside:
- Lick mats to soothe and mentally tire them
-Snuffle balls and scent games to work their brains
-Long‑lasting natural treats to keep them occupied
Your dog won’t miss a walk, but they can suffer in this heat. Keeping them indoors is the kindest thing you can do🐶
Stay safe, keep your pups safe, and look after yourselves too💚
We are closed until Wednesday as it’s far too warm to be bringing them for grooms and your dogs wellbeing will always come first!💚
