Wow, what a weekend at the BFA Champs! A 700 mile round trip but we loved every minute 👏
Thank you to the British Flyball Association Committee and the Volunteers that put this event together and made it as special as it is 👏🌟
Thursday was Speed Trials 💨
Clan (Mac, Ava, Yeager & Boo) went in and smashed their team record, running two legs back to back at 17.96 which seeded them into Division 11 for the weekend! 🙌
Cruisers (Ruby, Kai, Max & Dobby) went in and also smashed their team record to a 20.27 seeding them into Division 22 for the weekend 👌
Friday was Foundation 📚
Rory stepped up to be a honorary Shark for the second time 🦈 running clean all day and having a ball! Congratulations to Sharks Flyball for becoming the BFA Outdoor Champions for a 2nd year running! 👏
Saturday was Clan in Division 11 💥
The first race of the day saw this team smash their team record with a spectacular breakout time of 17.38 💨 excitement then got the better of handlers and a few silly lights but we got the heads screwed back on and raced! The racing was super close and exciting even seeing us tie on an 18.31 with Chameleons!🌟 thank you to Jenni Wallace for watching our line and keeping us right! 🙏We had Boo make her champs debut and this team finished up 4th place 👏
Sunday was Cruisers in Division 22 💪🏻
Not to be outdone by Clan, they also went in and royally smashed their team record to a 20.10! 💨 this team put up a fight, taking most races to 5 legs and way more clean runs than ever! We had Ruby and Dobby make their champs debuts! ❤️ This team finished up 6th place! 👏 Congratulations to Lomond Flyball Club who went onto win this Division 🏆
We may not have brought home any divisional shields this year but the littlest member of the clan did bring home BFA Rescue Dog of the Year 2025 - with a shield nearly as big as him 😂 Congratulations to Dobby ⚡️
Alison and Katie had a great time judging across the weekend, Katie’s phone is away for a time out after capturing lots of content for the BFA Media Team and some of us (Martin) partied a little to hard at the disco on Friday night 😂 he’s blaming that on Star Paws Flyball Team 🤷🏻♀️😂
Thank you to Maggie Mcnamara and her wonderful nieces for supporting us this weekend! You guys were awesome ball collectors, dog holders, joke crackers, water runners, beardie walkers and everything else we roped you into! 😂🙏
Now a bit of chill time for us and the dogs before the homework starts for the last outdoor show of the year at Errol in September ✈️
