Happy National Poodle Day to all of the Poodles out there! 🐩

The Poodle comes in three sizes: Standard, Miniature and Toy. They're a glamorous, intelligent breed that descended from European duck hunters 🦆

Did you know? The Poodle trim, which is sometimes viewed as a fashionable fancy trim for show dogs, is in fact traditional and very practical: the hindquarters being clipped to aid the dog’s propulsion in swimming and the protective bands of hair (now fancifully called pom-poms) left on the joints and tip of the tail for protection from cold.

Poodle Fact: Although it is the national dog of France, the Poodle actually originated in Germany. The breed name comes from the German word “pudel” or “pudelin,” which means “to splash in the water.” In France, the breed is called “Caniche,” which is French for “duck dog.”

Just a post to say our diary system now has a new feature 'waiting list'. This feature is for new customers who would like an appointment with us, but also for existing customers who have not got a pre booked appointment.
We are really booked up and getting new enquiries every day, so this will be a much more effective way for us to manage any cancellations we get, so we can offer anyone on the wait list an appointment.

She has only gone and placed in her class!! We don't know what place just yet as im not sure if the placements are all done at the end of the comp on sunday!
But she is bringing home a trophy yayyy well done Beth 🥂

How sweet does Puds look! 🥹💖

Just a note about next weeks opening hours - Beth is off to compete in Belgium so the salon will be closed from Thursday 18th Sept and re open Tuesday 23rd Sept
So you have tomorrow till Wednesday 17th Sept to pop in for nail trims or to message about an appointment
Stacey is going to have the shop phone while I’m off but a reminder she is on maternity leave so there is only so much she can do on her end

The sweetest little baby Phoebe 🥰
It’s so important to get puppies in for an introduction to grooming as soon as they’re fully vaccinated ☺️
It gets them used to the experience from a young age. She’s listened to the clippers, checked them out and realised they aren’t scary! Setting her up for success as she grows up ✨
