Did you struggle during the last mini heatwave to properly entertain your dog?

I totally understand, this post is for you!

We all know that temps are getting hotter and there's lots of warnings about a super El Nino this year with records set to be smashed.

Well if getting up at silly o'clock to try and get a walk in early is not your thing, then how about learning some skills to occupy your dogs brain in the comfort and shade of your own home!

Scent detection is a great way to provide that necessary mental stimulation your dog craves. Over 3 weekends starting 14th June 0900 you can learn search skills with your dog so that you can set search tasks around the house and let your dog be a canine detective over the summer.

Any dog can take part, no experience necessary. meet new people, new dogs and have lots of fun along the way.

Having adopted this beautiful dog in the last couple of weeks her successes continue.

Having won the best junior handler with Rose at the Wall Heath Dog show on Sunday, her certificate and rosette from her Tracking assessment also arrived!

With another grading of her tracking skills next week we are hoping to add to her collection!

Cwbdogtraining display team in action today at the Wall Heath Dog Show.

Dilly, Oban, Lyndon and Jessie worked really hard in blustery conditions to demonstrate their amazing scent abilities finding scent articles of kong, Gun Oil and catnip.

I.am really proud of them all and the effort both they and their handlers put in today. The crowd reaction was brilliant and as I work through the hundreds of pics and videos I will be able to share the live action with you later.

For now a few quick snapshots from our day.

To all the members of the public who came to see us at our stand, thank you it was a pleasure meeting you and your dogs and we hope to see you on one of the upcoming courses.

'Have a go' trial area set up ready. DJ playing tunes already and im next to the doggy cupcake stall so I imagine our display team will be more than happy!

Wondering what to do today? Come down and see us were are waiting to meet you and your dog and talk you through what Uk Sniffer Dogs Scent Detection courses entail.

New this year witness our team of scent dogs be tested during our demo starting around 1315hrs

You can also enter your dog in the show arena and maybe win a category prize!
