TW sensitive ⚠️
Last year On 11th July 2025, I had what felt like a completely normal day. Then, within minutes, everything changed.
I suffered a ruptured ectopic pregnancy that nearly took my life. The incredible NHS team fought to save my life as I was experiencing severe internal bleeding and lost over 3 litres of blood. I will always be grateful to every single person who cared for me that day.
It’s taken me a long time to process everything that happened, and it has had a huge impact on both me my incredible partner and my family. I’ve also faced ongoing health issues as a result. Earlier this year, I had surgery to remove internal adhesions caused by the trauma and blood loss, and I’m finally at a point where I feel ready to use my experience to help others.
One of the reasons I’m sharing my story is because ectopic pregnancies can be incredibly difficult to recognise. Some people have very few symptoms, and I was one of them. Looking back, the symptoms I did have seemed so normal that I never imagined anything was seriously wrong.
This is why I’m determined to raise awareness. If sharing my story helps even one person recognise the signs earlier and seek medical help before it’s too late, then it’s worth it.
This August, I’ll be walking 80 miles because 1 in 80 pregnancies is ectopic. I’m doing this to raise awareness and funds so that more people understand how dangerous ectopic pregnancies can be and so fewer families have to go through what mine did.
If you’re able to support my fundraiser, whether by donating or simply sharing this post, it would mean the world to me. Thank you for helping me turn one of the hardest experiences of my life into something that could help save someone else’s. The link is in the bio if you are able to donate thank you
