A term thats all too easy to come by these days...
"Professional Dog Walker / Professional Dog Walking"
For those of you who don't know, this saturated, unregulated and unlicensed market doesn't actually require any professional qualifications whatsoever... That's not a dig, we've none either 🤷🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️
What we do have though, is true professionals; Professionals with decades of experience, who understand the biological needs, wishes and desires of dogs. Ones who care passionately, work exceptionally hard, who travel farther than any other walker out there (that's AFTER they've circled the region collecting dogs) and who get out their bed at 4AM to deliver what dogs need, not what owners want!!
Predominantly, our customer base DO NOT use us for work cover and they don't actually need a dog walker!! They use us because they know what's good for their dogs. They get out their bed before 7am, bleary eyed and still in their dressing gowns to hand us their dogs (no name shaming... you know who you are 😉) knowing full well they'll be paid back with a truly satisfied, completely fulfilled and BETTER BEHAVED dog in return.
We take this so seriously, that NOT ALL DOGS ARE WELCOME!! We regularly turn people away based on our strict fitness, health and age criteria. We INSIST on rest days and can't service any dog more than 3 days a week. We don't accommodate walk time preferences or offer pop ins. We don't have a client base... We have a community. We are NOT Professional Dog Walkers... And we're incredibly proud of it!
Don't mistake our confidence and pride for arrogance, we just love what we do and believe unconditionally in it!! We hold deeply personal relationships with every single member of our community and we've no doubt they'll all be happy to testify to that!
