This handsome boy finds grooming quite a scary experience and can be very nervous throughout his appointment. 💙
When dogs feel this way, it's so important to take things slowly, be patient, and make sure they feel safe every step of the way. Building trust takes time, and every little win is a huge achievement.
One thing I always try to do after the dogs appointment is spend a little time having some fun with them. Whether that's playing with a ball, or making a fuss of them , I want them to leave with a positive experience and hopefully realise that grooming isn't all bad! 🐾
Creating a safe space where dogs feel comfortable and understood is just as important to me as the groom itself. Seeing Monty happy, relaxed, and playing after his groom makes it all worthwhile.
