😫💔 More Dumped Cats.....💔😫

Take a look at these two gorgeous babies... who were left at the front door of PDSA overnight... inside STORAGE BOXES! 😓

The boxes were duct-taped closed with just a few air holes, and the girls were left all alone, probably absolutely petrified and so confused...!!

This situation could have been a lot worse! Thankfully, they were taken in and given full health checks. They seem to be physically fine, but we can't even imagine how scary that must have been for them...

We have named the gorgeous fluffy tabby Flower, and the beautiful grey girl is Petal. They are both around 5 years old 🩷🌸

Please, if you can't look after your cats, don't dump them in taped-up boxes, all alone... ❤️‍🩹‼️

‼️❤️ Kittens With Feline Coronavirus ❤️‼️

We have some beautiful kittens currently looking for homes on our website, but sadly they are being overlooked because they have tested positive for Feline Coronavirus 💔

Jolene & Jensen, Juniper & Jax, Martha, Mini and Misty have all got their paws crossed that they will be chosen soon 🤞🏼

We really want to help spread a little understanding about what this actually means, because these kittens deserve a loving home the same as any other kitten!

Having feline coronavirus doesn't mean they can't live a normal, happy and healthy life. They always use their litter trays and never have accidents, even if their poos are sometimes a little softer than usual.

Feline Coronavirus is incredibly common in cats, and many cats carry the virus without ever showing any symptoms. It's also possible that as these kittens get older, their softer stools may improve or disappear altogether ❤️

They will need to be kept as indoor cats, and they can only live with other cats who also have feline coronavirus.

This is why you may notice that some of the kittens on our website have been placed in pairs, so they can have a friend to grow up with and enjoy a happy life together!

We also want to reassure people that it cannot be passed to humans or dogs. It is not the same as human coronavirus and does not cause flu-like symptoms.

Having feline coronavirus also doesn't mean endless trips to the vets, they won't need any more routine veterinary appointments than any other cat 🐾

We completely understand that people may have questions and we are more than happy to chat, offer reassurance and answer anything you'd like to know!

Please don't over-look these kittens on our website. You might just find your perfect little companion waiting for you! 🏡❤️

‼️❤️‍🩹 Two New Boys......❤️‍🩹‼️

Please say hello to our two new boys… Archie (black) and Charlie (tabby and white), who are both 4 years old.

Very sadly, their previous owner has passed away, so they've had to come into our care to find a new loving home. 😢

As you can imagine, this has been a massive change for them, and they are feeling very nervous and a little stand-offish. It's going to take them some time to settle in and realise they are in good hands ❤️‍🩹

Welcome to the YCR family gorgeous boys. We're so sorry this has happened, and we're sorry you're feeling a little scared.

We promise to show you so much love and find you a wonderful new home ❤️

🌷💜 Stella Update!! 💜🌷

We have such a lovely update on the beautiful Stella (was Valerie) who is slowly settling into her forever home!

Stella came into our care as her previous owner was no longer able to look after her, and she was a pretty shy girl who shut herself away ❤️‍🩹

The last photo is Stella when she was at the centre, and as you can see the difference is amazing compared to her now in her new home!

"She is doing incredibly well considering her being very timid, that being said she still sprints for under the sofa if we move quickly or come through the door, but once she realises it's us she's fine.

We've opened up the kitchen to her now although think we're holding off on the rest of the house for the time being.

Stella (we renamed her) is eating and drinking a lot more, her eating has increased loads which is a positive for us.

We absolutely adore her, we've spoilt her, she loves her cat tree to look out the window, loves her toys but still working on the bed but that will eventually come!"

How lovely that she has found such a caring and patient family. Thank you for letting her settle in at her own pace, she has already made such incredible progress ❤️

🌈🌈❤️ Our Beautiful Darcie ❤️🌈🌈

Unfortunately, we have to let you all know that our beautiful boy Darcie has crossed over the rainbow bridge after an amazing 22 years of life 🥺🕊

Darcie was one of our long-term foster cats, and many of you will have supported him over the years through your virtual adoption donations ❤️

Darcie originally came to us with his best friend, Muffin, who had special medical needs and needed to be placed in long-term foster care. As they were so bonded, we decided they should stay together.

Sadly, Muffin passed away at the beginning of the year, but we felt it was right to keep Darcie in his permanent foster home, as he loved his foster parents so much and was very comfortable there ❤️

Recently, Darcie stopped eating and just wasn't being his usual self. Despite various efforts to stimulate his appetite and help him feel better, we knew it was likely that he was getting ready to go...

After a check-up with the vets, they agreed that his time had come and that he was ready to cross over the rainbow bridge. However, at 22 years old, he had reached an incredible age ❤️

Darcie passed away surrounded by people who loved him beyond measure. Thanks to his incredible virtual adopters, he was able to live out his days in a wonderful foster home, receiving the most amazing care possible by his foster parents 🕊❤️

While we are all devastated by his loss, we want this post to be a celebration of Darcie's life and all the joy he brought to so many people's lives.

He is now reunited with his best pal Muffin, and he will always hold a place in our hearts here at YCR, as well as in his foster parents hearts forever!

Goodnight sweet boy. You were so incredibly loved.... 🌈🐾

This is handsome boy, Spike who is 6 years old ❤️

Spike is a lovely, quiet boy who has found himself looking for a special someone to give him the safe and loving home he deserves.

He is feeling a little unsure at the moment, so he may greet you with a little hiss while he gets to know you. Please don't let this put you off – Spike just needs someone who understands that trust takes time and that he needs to find his paw sat his own pace.

Spike really needs a quiet, calm and patient home, with an owner who has plenty of understanding and love to give!

The vets also believe Spike may be partially sighted, so he will need an indoor-only home where he can feel secure and where his surroundings can remain familiar 🏡

If you have a quiet home, a big heart and the patience to let Spike blossom at his own pace, please consider giving him the happily ever after he deserves.
