🥰🥰 Jess & Max 🥰🥰
Just another quick update on Jess & Max, who came home with me from your centre in April 2023.
Max gave us a scare recently with a thing in his eye, the post-op analysis said it was going malignant but thankfully we seem to have caught it soon enough that is is highly unlikely to have spread. Recovery from the op went very well, everything healed up quickly with no complications, and he was soon his normal self. He is still warey of people he doesn't know well, though increasingly less so. With me, and others he has decided is safe, he alternates between being very chilled & affectionate and _forcefully_ affectionate with headbutts & massages!
Jess is in good health. She has become a confident little gremlin, _very_ playful, wants to be in everything, bounding around the place like she's 2 not 12, and excited to investigate most guests & request attention from them!
Both are definitely lap cats and the pair of them curling up with me at bed time, when it isn't too warm so they find somewhere cooler, noticeably reduces my tendency for insomnia.
They've just had a clean bill of health from their annual checkups, other than the usual checklist of little things to keep an eye on and it wouldn't hurt max to lose a little weight.
