This is not a goodbye from Dog & Jones, it is a new beginning.
The past 5 years have been the biggest challenge and the best learning experience for us, and we are SO PROUD of everything we’ve achieved.
We have made the difficult decision to transition and become a full-time online store. (Don’t worry we’ll still be appearing at all of our pop ups and hosting regular big group walks).
Closing the doors to our physical store, does not mean that our business has failed. In fact we see it as quite the opposite. Things change and we have always been open to adapting where necessary. Change is scary, but change is also good!
We want to be completely transparent with you all and explain why we have made this decision. We are actually busier than ever, but a lot has changed for us in the past 5 years.
We started our business back in 2019, and opened the doors to our shop in 2021. It was just the two of us and we threw all of our money, and every second of our time in to it.
Now, with the impending arrival of our second child, coupled with rising costs, keeping the shop just doesn’t make sense for us anymore. Our business now needs to work for us as a family.
Moving online will allow us to continue to provide the products that we have worked so hard to create, while being more present for our children. Plus, less overheads, means less cost passed on to you.

We will now be offering a subscription service to make getting your dogs food easier than ever. And don’t forget to sign up to our loyalty scheme, that turns every penny you spend in to points that earn you discounts.
We’ll be continuing to offer free local delivery (within 5 miles of Kegworth) and promise to keep additional delivery fees as low as possible.
Our official store closing date is still TBC, so please bear with us as we make the transition over the next few months, and feel free to pop in or drop us a message with any questions. Find out how we can continue to support you and your dog long in to the future.
While, we’ve shed more than a few tears while making this decision, giving notice to our incredible landlady Hilary and writing this post, we don’t want this to be sad or negative. We are very excited for the future, and plan to invite you all to raise a glass with us soon, to help us celebrate this next step for Dog & Jones.
