Here’s Hugo after only 1 loose-lead session.

Before his owner couldn’t even get out of the door in order to take him for a walk Hugo would be going crazy and jumping all over the place. He would then pull on the lead until he was let off; making every walk they went on a chore.

Now, after only 1 session, every walk is calm and definitely more enjoyable.

We get it Red, it’s nearly the weekend don’t worry.

This gorgeous boy is one of the puppies that Pippin had back in October! He’s just gone back to his owner after spending the last couple of weeks with us as he needed some basic obedience training as well as socialising. It was nice to have a puppy in the house again, no idea how we managed having 8🫠

Effective recall can be trained at any age, however the way to start is always in the house, with short distances to maximise your chance of success. Then increase the distance and amount of distractions.

Once you’ve perfected it indoors, start the process again but outdoors and you’ll soon be able to walk your dog off lead confidently, knowing they’ll come back when called.

Our litter of puppies turned 10 weeks old on Friday, however Otto is still with us despite having new owners. This is because Otto is going to be part-trained in basic obedience by us for when he goes in a few weeks. We’re looking forward to this challenge and will be posting updates on his progress!
