Every day at My Paws and Claws is an emotional one and today was no different...

Today, a tiny injured chick was handed into us (You are an angel Chloé Ellis) after being found all alone on the road.
Cold, sleepy, and unbelievably small.

So naturally, shop operations paused immediately!

We wrapped the wee soul up in a blanket, found a cosy box, and did our best to keep him settled while we figured out what to do next.

The next customer through the door (thank you Gillian) immediately started helping us search for local rescue contacts, while everyone else stopped what they were doing to check on him every five minutes like concerned grandparents.

Not long after, our hero Graham from GW Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation appeared and offered to take him home to hand rear him.

It’s funny how complete strangers can come together so quickly for something so tiny.

Follow along for the happy ending we’re all hoping for...
