Curious Paws Club

Curious Paws Club My name is Ruth and I have lived and breathed the dog care industry since 2016.

I have designed Curious Paws Club to provide dogs with more than just a dog walk. I have my own dog who is sadly no longer able to join dog walks due to her breaking her leg earlier in 2025, and recently having to have the leg amputated, so wanted to be able to give other dogs more than just a lunchtime walk. Using my experience from managing a large-scale dog day care, and my previous walking, tr

aining and boarding business, I will use enrichment activities, toys, food and training to make sure that they go home with a tired mind, as well as tired legs. Our smart van will pick up you pups for their walk, and transport them safely to a secure field in the local area for their activities. The van is fitted with bespoke crates which have been designed to allow maximum space as well as comfort for their short journey. It is also fitted with a vent to make sure that even on the warmer days, the dogs stay nice and cool while in our hands. By walking in secure fields we are ensuring the dogs' safety and giving you, the owner, peace of mind that your dog is having the most fun in the safest way possible. Our activities will include:
- Nosework
- Toy play
- Dog play
- Recall training
- Proximity training
- Encouraging check ins
- Emergency stop training
- And plenty more to keep them busy

For those of you who have seen the viral video about the dog dying after visiting tulip fields, please read the below:

We are aware of the posts circulating regarding a dog that very sadly died after visiting a tulip festival.

We want to make it very clear that, despite what is circulating in the press and on social media, this dog did not die as a result of tulip poisoning.

As the UK’s only animal poison centre in the UK, we have managed over 1600 cases regarding tulips. Based on this evidence and our research, we can reassure the public that the clinical signs described in this case are not consistent with tulip toxicity. While tulips may cause gastrointestinal upset if ingested, severe cases are very uncommon. Other potential causes should be considered in this case.

If you’re concerned your pet may have been exposed to something harmful, please call Animal PoisonLine on 01202 509000. Veterinary professionals can call the VPIS on 020 7305 5055.
