Apologies for being so quiet on our socials. This summer has been our busiest yet and we’ve been non stop! All whilst keeping children entertained too. A few of you may have met my daughter Bonnie who loves helping in the salon!

September is looking to be just as busy. I would encourage everyone to book their next groom in advance to secure your preferred slot.

An advance notice that the salon will be closed from 25th July and reopen on 3rd august, as I’m away on a family holiday.

We are very busy before I go but doing our best to fit everyone in.
If you’re needing an appointment we have a couple left on 22nd, 23rd & 24th of July. Please message soon as these are filling fast.

You’ve worked so hard for this over the last year and I couldn’t be more proud!

Not sure if it’s time? Here are a few signs to look out for 👇

🪢 Knots or matting starting to form
👀 Hair covering eyes
🐾 Slippery paws or long nails
👃 That “doggy” smell creeping back
🧸 Coat losing its shape

Does your dog have a slightly “yeasty” or musty smell?

It’s not always just a dirty coat, it can often be coming from their ears.

👂 What to check:
• A strong, bread-like or cheesy smell
• Redness or swelling inside the ear
• Dark wax or discharge
• Your dog scratching, head shaking, or seeming uncomfortable

These can all be signs of a yeast build-up or ear infection, which is really common especially in breeds with floppy or hairy ears.

Regular grooming helps keep ears clean and allows us to spot early signs before they become more serious. 🩵🐾

🏖️ Beach days are the best days… but don’t forget the clean up 🐶

If your dog loves a run on the beach, it’s really important to rinse them off properly afterwards.

🌊 Why it matters:
• Salt water can dry out the skin and coat
• Sand can get trapped in the fur, causing irritation and matting
• It can hide in paws, ears, and under collars, leading to soreness
• Left too long, it can create the perfect environment for skin issues

🚿 A quick rinse with fresh water (especially paws, legs, tummy, and ears) makes a huge difference.

✨ And if they’ve had a proper beach adventure… a full groom is always a good idea to get them back to feeling (and smelling!) their best.
