🏆 A major new era for the British Eventing Official British Open Championship at the 2026 NAF Hartpury International Celebration of Eventing incorporating the National Championships
Following rider and owner feedback, the British Open Championship has been elevated to CCI4*-S level and will now run within the NAF CCI4*-S class, placing the championship right at the heart of the competition.
The new format means the British Open will be contested over the same track, in the same arena and under the same spotlight as the international field. Where eligible, the overall CCI4*-S winner will also be crowned British Open Champion, taking both titles.
Crowned on Saturday and positioned centre stage within the timetable, the British Open will deliver a true championship climax. An enhanced £2,500 British Open winner’s prize, on top of the CCI4*-S purse, means eligible combinations will be chasing up to £5,000 and one of the most coveted one-day titles on British soil.💥
