Alongside their annual campaign to warn dog owners of the risks of leaving dogs in hot cars, BVA has joined coalition calls warning about the dangers of taking dogs out on walks in hot weather.

I know it’s common sense but just in case!

A quick heads up guys - it’s going to be super hot this week so PLEASE don’t walk your dog in the heat of the day, especially those brachycephalic (flat faced) breeds - your dog won’t die from missing a walk but heatstroke can kill! And NEVER, EVER leave your dog in the car in hot weather. Also please check the temperature of the pavement before walking your dog so their pads don’t get burned. Enjoy the lovely weather while it lasts 🌞

Hello lovely people. We hope everyone is keeping safe and well. We have taken the decision to reopen on Monday 8th Feb. We honestly wanted to do the right thing and wait until the next government review but are now under pressure as a business having lost clients to other groomers that have remained open throughout this lockdown using the “welfare of the dog” banner. We can’t afford to lose too many more or we won’t be reopening at all! Therefore if you have an appointment on or after Monday 8th Feb and would like to keep it, we will happily groom your dog. If, however, you feel unsafe or feel now is not the time to be having your dog groomed, then that is absolutely ok too but please let us know as soon as you can so that we can rearrange it for another time. For those of you that missed their appointment due to the lockdown, we will be contacting you to offer a new appointment.

We shall be working as before - meeting you at the gate etc. We would request though that you please wear a face mask when dropping off/picking up your pooch.

We would like to thank everyone for their care and support throughout this difficult time and look forward to seeing you all again very soon.
In the meantime please stay well and stay safe.

Hi Everyone - as you all know we are now in lockdown. Groomers are in the Government list of businesses that can remain open (but only for welfare purposes and not for aesthetics). However, we are very concerned at the exponential increases in Covid cases in our region and so, for health and safety reasons for you and ourselves, we have taken the difficult decision to remain closed for a while longer. We haven’t taken this lightly as this is our livelihood but we are absolutely convinced that this is the right thing to do in order to limit contact and to do our bit in getting this damn virus under control, and to help protect you, ourselves, our community and the NHS. We are really sorry if this causes any inconvenience to you but please bear with us as we feel this is the responsible thing to do. We will, of course, keep you informed of any change in our decision and will contact you regarding appointments in due course. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Please stay safe and well.

Hi all - we hope you all had as great a Christmas as you possibly could given the circumstances. As you all know we are now in Tier 4 and have 2 new fast-spreading strains of Coronavirus to contend with so we have reluctantly decided, in order to keep you and ourselves as safe as possible, and to do our bit in getting rid of this damn virus, to close our doors for a couple of weeks. We shall, however, be reviewing this decision after that period. We are really sorry and hope this doesn’t inconvenience you too much but, for health reasons, we must stay as safe as possible. We aren’t a high street business - this is our home so we need to keep it virus free. This decision hasn’t been taken lightly and we hope you all understand. Hopefully we will, fingers crossed, be able to open in a couple of weeks time, and we will keep you informed, but for now please keep brushing those doggies, stay safe, stay well and stay in! 😁😉

Hi everyone - just to let you know that, as lockdown is ending now, we shall be reopening on 2nd December so if you have an appointment booked in December and wish to keep it then please still come along. If, however, you feel your doggie could wait until January then please ring as soon as you can so that we can offer your spot to the people who missed theirs in November, enabling them to have a quicker appointment. For all those who did have to miss their appointments in November, we will be contacting you and will do our utmost to get you in as quickly as we can. Please understand that December is one of our busiest months, so some of these appointments will need to be in January but we will do our very best to accommodate you as soon as we possibly can.
