Today I had the pleasure of meeting Amber the Cocker Spaniel.
Her owner got in touch as Amber had been that nervous of going to other groomers she would refuse to go in or get extremely anxious.
After speaking with the owner before booking I was able to get a rough understanding as to what I believe would be beneficial for Amber's needs.
💛 She was booked in as the last dog of the day so if needed could have a longer appointment to go at her pace.
💜 Lavender essential oils (pet safe) were put in the diffuser before she arrived so the salon had a relaxing aroma.
🧡 Paws and relax aromatherapy spray was put on to her coat post bath to enhance the relaxation.
🩷 Tellington T-touch was carried out all through the groom to help strengthen a bond and relax the nervous system.
Now as it happens, with all of these techniques along with a quiet 1-1 salon she settled in even better than I could have hoped for on her first visit, she ended up being one of the calmest dogs of the day 🥰
It just shows with a bit of TLC and a tailored appointment dog grooming doesn't have to just be a hair cut, it can be a relaxing experience that your dog enjoys. ❤️
