If dogs are environmentally unstable a random noise can trigger a fight or flight response, leading to an aggressive reaction or a dog that takes flight and bolts off.

Exposing dogs to a variety of different noises, smells and areas, as often as you can from a young age, helps reduce the chances of these unwanted responses, often catching you off guard.

This is Tink just being Tink while the grass gets strimmed, a perfect example of how its done when you expose your dog to many different environmentals

Introducing PC Jay Crossley an GPD Diesel at Cheshire Police Dog Unit.

Now licensed with Cheshire Police, Diesel was bred by my good friend Harry who was returned to him as too much for his original owners.

I took him on, addressed some behavioural issues and tapped into his genetics, never have I seen a dog with such a natural solid full mouth grip.

It wasn't an easy ride, being a solid 50kilo and a very head strong dog, Diesel was too much for a prison service, then deemed unsuitable to be a police dog by another force 🙄

Luckily enough we have a good relation with Cheshire Police, so was placed with a very confident and experienced handler, who wasn't overwhelmed by his presence or initial aloofness. He took his time to bond with Diesel and was interested in knowing all about him, which has paid off dividends forming a formidable team.
