Just a lil reminder of Hair Off The Dogs cancellation and no show policy !
We are all human and it’s possible to forget things or get things mixed up, I always give 5 minutes after the appointment time before I call you to ensure you’re on your way. Sometimes I might be able to still groom your dog if you’re lucky , but sometimes it may be too late due to other appointments. A no show fee will need to be paid before another appointment is made.
If you are constantly forgetting your appointments or are continuously late a deposit or full payment would need to be paid.
The effect on a small business of a no show can be damaging. Please be respectful and understanding.

Hi all ! Hope everyone’s well and enjoying the British summer! It’s been a very busy month at HOTD Irby ! I’m getting a a lot of new customers booking in so please if your a regular keep your dog booked in to avoid disappointment.
I’ll be away in August from Friday 16th until the 28th as on holiday and atm don’t have much availability until September.

My son Charlie has now finished primary school and starts high school in September, those of you who have been with me a long time will of seen him around when coming home from school !! Can’t believe it tbh ! Lucky to be able to have a job that works around school times.

Til next time I look forward to seeing you all soon and seeing all your pups on their holidays and enjoying the summer. Thanks for all your lovely messages about how happy you are with your dogs grooms they mean alot to me 🥰❤️.

❌ RAPESEED! ❌

It’s that time of year again where farmers fields have blossomed into pretty yellow flowers, these plants are called rapeseed. Although it may be tempting to place your dog in the mist to take a scenic photo, please avoid this at all costs!

Rapeseed is extremely poisonous for dogs, especially in highly sensitive canines.

Rapeseed is listed by Dogs Trust as toxic to our dogs if ingested and can cause symptoms such as:

❌ Hemolytic Anemia
❌ Blindness
❌ Damaged Nervous System
❌ Digestive Disorders
❌ Breathing Problems

Even walking through these fields should be avoided! In June 2019, a dog has been reported to suffer from severe open wounds after running through a crop of rapeseed.

Please seek immediate veterinary attention if your dog shows any signs of rapeseed poisoning!

I’ve had a lot of enquiries about dental care lately.
This product looks very effective and I’m going to be getting one myself!
Might be a good alternative to dogs that aren’t able to go under anaesthetic.
