First up is this montage of images from Robert's win in the Al Shira'aa King George V Gold Cup, riding Vermento. The pair regained the trophy, having won it for the first time in 2023.

Up next in our Christmas countdown of most-viewed posts is this photo of Isabella Walker and the Supreme Products Supreme Pony Champion, Stoneleigh Showtime.

It was an incredible week for the Walker family at this year's Agria Royal International Horse Show, with wins in all three hunter weight classes, before Sam Walker took the tricolour with Flash Point, while Dad Robert stood reserve with his middleweight victor. Robert and Flash Point then went on to be overall reserve supreme in the Barberstown Castle Supreme Horse Championship

This summer's Al Shira'aa Derby jump-off was an absolute classic. First to go was Sammie-Jo Coffin, who was bidding to become the first woman to win the Derby since 2011. But when her ride Chaccomo Blue faulted at fence two it left the door open for her rivals. Next in was Robert Whitaker, who picked up four faults at the Derby rails with Gentlemen VD Veldhof, but finished nearly sec quicker than Sammie-Jo to go into the lead.

Only cousin William Whitaker and Flamboyant III could deny Robert a first Derby title, and they were clear all the way round to the penultimate fence, the double of white gates. But when the second part of the double fell, William had to beat Robert's time to take the win, but ended up crossing the finish line 1.42sec in arrears to take second place.
