May is Veterinary Nurse awareness month 💚
Get to know our nurses and what they do

Lucy qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2007, after qualifying, she went to work in a mixed practiced to gain experience with large animals, then moved on to work at a veterinary hospital in Brighton, it was there she learnt a lot about emergency and critical care.
After 10 years and starting a family, I chose to work local to home and has been at Highcroft for 5 years.
She loves to be in theatre where she monitor anaesthetics and assists the vets with procedures.
Caring for a poorly patient is very rewarding for Lucy when she sees improvement and they are allowed to go home happier. Lucy also enjoys seeing patients in nurse clinics where she gets to give advice and care for animals from a young age.
Outside of work Lucy enjoys long walks with her family and energetic dog, along with enjoying horse riding and running.
