Young Ember has her hip and elbow x-rays booked for next month!

Fingers are tightly crossed for good results.

We do know though that she is in the best hands at Companion Care Vets Eastbourne who have done a fabulous job with all our dogs!

OFTW Ffynongain Buzzard of Wauniago by Cwmddraig Olive At Daisycreek

Will be a year old next month and has turned into such a lovely little dog.

Coming on nicely in her training, has immense amounts of drive but is biddable.

I couldn't ask for a better girl and really look forward to this summer and seeing her progress more.

Fingers crossed she does well in some puppy tests

Just had a message from somebody looking for a new gundog trainer.

Has been training with a person for over a year, went to a "working test training day" the trainer told them they are ready for tests. Cue this person going to a test in the summer. Their dog was FAR from ready, they had been told the totally incorrect things for working tests too meaning the trainer has been falsely teaching many many people.

Not to mention this trainer has NEVER ran in a retriever test, let alone had an award. I believe they haven't done any proper tests with their spaniels either.

Their own dogs are some of the most ill trained I have ever seen on a shoot too which makes it worse 😂🙈

If your looking for a trainer at least make sure they know how to train their own dogs first! Don't just listen to what they say but do your own research on them too.

This isn't the first person to tell me about their poor experiences with this person. Unfortunately most of those who go to them know no better as haven't seen a different trainer who actually knows what they are doing.

Good day for Daisycreek Fearless (Ember)

Today we went to Kent, Surrey & Sussex Labrador retriever club.

We started the morning doing our Kennel club good citizen bronze exam. For the exam we had to show heel work, manners going through doors, recall, stay for 1 minutes amongst other things.

Ember passed with flying colours 🐾

We then decided to enter her into the Minor Puppy bitch class in the show. She received a reserve (4th) which I was pleased with!

So all in all a fabulous day and she behaved impeccably for a young pup!

Now 13 weeks and growing up very quickly.

She's been a lovely easy pup so far, keen to learn and a nice pup to have in the home.

A friend puppy sat her yesterday while we was in London and said what a lovely puppy she is.

Looking forward to teaching her more as she matures
