PLEASE READ Lyndsey was recently on the BBC talking about how a huge amount of her artwork has been stolen by online drop ship websites, and it’s taking up half of her time trying to get items removed, which is impacting her life. So many artists are dealing with this and it’s threatening the livelihoods of millions of creatives. AI is making it easier for thieves
What’s worse is that Lyndsey is an eco artist, and the crap copies are cheaply made and terrible quality with no longevity, which will end up in landfill, destroying the planet and animals that she champions
Please think wisely when you shop online. Artists do not supply their work to these sites. Go direct or to an official stockist and if you see anywhere selling an artists work that you think has been stolen, flag it up. Be our eyes and ears.
Things need to change. We’ve had enough. Legislations need to come into force to help put a stop to this theft which is spiralling out of control. I have a feeling more news channels will pick this story up and it gets the ball rolling on a surge to help end this
