Polite Request to our Customers
With the bullring roadworks and diversions 🚗🚦 now in place for the next year 🫣 we kindly ask that you plan accordingly for additional time required to reach our salon when dropping off and picking up.
Your pooches don't usually like to sit around before and after their groom so keeping to the drop off and pick up times will reduce stress levels and allow us to keep to the tight groom schedules.
Please let us know if you think you will be late so that we can plan accordingly. Thank you from the Short Bark & Resides team.

We don't get a chance to do it regularly so was well chuffed when we had wee Skye (a border terrier) in for a hand stripping session. She was such a great girl and really enjoyed grooming her, before and after pics below 👇
Hand stripping is a technique used to groom dogs by manually removing dead hair rather than clipping/scissoring. It is most commonly done on terriers (border, cairn, westies, fox, Airedale) but can also be done with other wire haired breeds even an Irish Wolfhound if your hands could manage on such a big dog!!
Hand stripping encourages healthy coat growth, improves skin health, and maintains natural harsh texture and colour.
