🐾 Hot Weather Policy Update ☀️

Your dog’s safety is always our top priority at Pawsitive Adventures 💚

As temperatures rise, we adjust our services to keep every pup happy, safe, and comfortable:

• At 20°C, walks will be shorter
• Walks will be kept in shaded areas where possible (such as woodlands)
• While it may only be 20°C, ground temperatures can be much higher and unsafe for paws
• This may change depending on your dog’s age, health, and breed
• Anything above this may result in garden visits only

⚠️ Please keep an eye out for signs of heat stress:
Excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting, rapid heart rate, or your dog feeling hot to the touch

🚨 If you notice any of these symptoms, contact a vet immediately

Thank you for trusting us to care for your dogs 🐶💙

Our beautiful girl Stella was home in less than 24 hours, which meant so much to us during such a difficult time.

Thank you so much to Sara from Perthshire Pet Cremation for handling everything with such care, compassion, and dignity. You made an incredibly painful process feel gentle and manageable, and I’m so grateful for that.

I truly couldn’t recommend you enough to anyone going through the loss of a beloved pet.

It is with heartbreaking news that our wonderful, beautiful girl Stella passed at home this afternoon in my arms.

Three months ago, she was diagnosed with pleomorphic high-grade mammary carcinoma. We went ahead with surgery, but it came back quickly—it was a very aggressive cancer.

I rescued her, but really, I think she rescued me.
I’m already feeling completely lost.

Last night we cuddled up for hours. That hurts so much, knowing it was our last time.
I love you so much, Stella. I wish we had more time, but you did everything you could with such a devastating diagnosis.

Thank you for simply being the best.
I will miss you dearly.

🐹Meet the Piggies 🐹

Say hello to the squad:
🖤 Creeper
🤍 Oreo
🍪 Gingerbread
💙 Bluey

Did you know? Guinea pigs “wheek” when they’re excited (usually for food 👀) and they can’t make their own vitamin C — so their diet is super important!

🐾 At Pawsitive Adventures, we don’t just walk dogs… we also offer small animal care full of love, attention, and cuddles 💚

While my lovely mum offered to help today, I knew straight away I needed to get out for a walk. So I asked Tilly’s owners if I could steal her for an hour 🐾

Turning up and seeing her little face… it hit me just how much I’ve missed all my work dogs. That instant calm, that happiness — nothing else quite compares.

We headed off on a new walk around Balvaird Castle, just taking it slow, letting her sniff everything, and letting my head clear a bit.

Not long now until I’m back to work. Everyone’s been sent the updates and a few changes I’ve had to make… slowly getting things back on track.

But today was a reminder of why I love what I do so much 🤍

Despite everything going on right now and being off work, we’ve had this little bright spot in the evenings 🤍

Back in to see Egg this week… a regular who clearly remembers me — and chooses to ignore me anyway 😅

Mostly sleeping, occasionally judging, completely unbothered… but still such a comfort to be around.

Funny how something so simple can bring a bit of calm when you need it most 🐾

Sometimes you don’t realise how much a routine holds you together… until it’s gone.

Taking time off for health and family has been needed — but wow, I’ve felt the gap. The wagging tails, the muddy paws, the quiet walks and chaotic ones… they’ve been more than just a job. They’ve been my joy, my therapy, my constant.

I miss every single one of my dogs more than I expected. 🐾

But the days are getting closer, and I honestly can’t wait to be back where I belong — surrounded by happy pups and doing what I love most.

Until then… just know you’re all very much missed. 💛

Home after 20 days in hospital between the two of us ❤️

I think the big fluff ball missed his human… who else is going to sneak him treats? 🐾

Now onto a long recovery, with my own procedure next week and possibly another hospital stay. Sleep is definitely on the priority list… though that’s easier said than done with a little one in a spica cast — not for the faint-hearted.

Learning to transfer him with a board has been a big step, but it’s still scary. One wrong move feels like everything could go wrong. It’s a stressful time, but we’re getting there, one step at a time 💪
