Someone commented on a clip earlier and asked if I draw... the answer, yes I used to be partial to a doodle but the hypermobility backwards bending fingers make it super painful and sore on my hands, but here's some stuff from years ago, I do miss drawing but I get half an hour and im in agony. I actually did a really nice drawing of a horse for someone earlier this year then the cat ate the corner of the paper and ruined it so am done! 🤣

Can I get a covercoat clip? Such a popular question this time of year

I will do whatever blade I deem suitable for the horse/pony.

Depending on the individual animal, time of year, environment... a covercoat, designed for that "natural" finish might do absolutely nothing for your pony.

Will it "save" the colour?
Or will it just leave u a too hot pony?

Here's one example today of why it would have been pointles to covercoat.

The upper part was actually done with a wide 5 on my small clippers, 6.3mm.
Next was the "covercoat" type 4.5mm and then a medium.

The longer blades did nothing to keep the colour.
Pony has quite a dense tho not long coat.
If I did covercoat... he would still not have been the desired colour, AND by show time he would have a bit more growth and possibly been too warm.

For me, comfort of the pony is the utmost importance, so he was clipped with a medium blade on the body so he will be cool and comfortable and able to perform at his best come HOYS.
I did his legs with a 5f blade and blended them higher than usual for a little more "bone" to the legs.
