We’re so excited to announce that PURR is growing: and we’re looking for a Part-Time Admin & Social Media Assistant to join the team! 🐾✨

This role is perfect for someone who loves cats, is social media savvy, and wants to be part of a creative, supportive environment.

📍 Glasgow (Morris Park)
⏰ 16 hours per week
💻 Hybrid

✨ Salon vs Mobile Grooming ✨

Something I’ve noticed popping up in conversations lately is the idea that you have to pick one side: salon grooming or mobile grooming. The truth? It’s not about sides at all.

Having worked as both a mobile groomer and now running Scotland’s first cat-only salon, I can honestly say there is value in both options. Some cats thrive in their familiar home environment, while others actually settle better in a one-on-one, quiet, cat-focused salon space with professional equipment.

That’s part of why we offer meet and greet assessment sessions at PURR, because sometimes you don’t know until you try. Your cat may surprise you with how well they take to a salon setting, but if the home environment is clearly the better fit, that’s valuable knowledge too.

What matters most is that cats are kept comfortable, safe, and cared for by groomers who put their wellbeing first. Rather than discouraging clients from one service or another, we should be celebrating the fact that there are choices available in the Scotland, something that only benefits cats and their humans alike.

At the end of the day, it’s not salon versus mobile. It’s salon and mobile, working together to make sure cats get the care they deserve 😻
