How adorable is Scout with her fluffy face?

Scout came to me after sustaining a left hindlimb injury that was initially treated with medication, but her owner knew she still wasn’t quite right after several weeks and brought her in for physiotherapy and underwater treadmill therapy 🐕🐾

She is now back to her normal self, enjoying her usual walks and trying to find every patch of water possible!

Scout has now been discharged, although she may pop back in occasionally for a fun water treadmill session every so often. I look forward to catching up with her and seeing her continue to live her best life 🐶💜

I had a couple of fun days out at VOACON () again this year 🐾

Great to catch up with colleagues, learn more about all things osteoarthritis, and hear from some brilliant speakers. I also attended a really interesting workshop on creating orthotics in practice, so I’m excited to further develop this skill. 🐕

As a member of the Veterinary Osteoarthritis Alliance, it’s always inspiring to be part of such a passionate multidisciplinary group focused on improving osteoarthritis care in animals.

Lots of new ideas and knowledge to take forward! 🐶💜

Upcoming Holidays 🏝️

I will be closed from 6th July to 5th August ☀️

My diary is currently full until I go away, and August appointments are already starting to fill up too, so please make sure you get your appointments booked in advance to avoid disappointment.

Bleu was referred to me following a left hind tibial repair involving plates and screws, alongside intermittent lameness. On initial assessment, he was significantly offloading the left hindlimb and had noticeable muscle atrophy throughout the limb.

After starting weekly hydrotherapy sessions, Bleu has made fantastic progress. His weight bearing has improved significantly, and he has now regained equal muscle mass.

I’m very happy to be able to discharge Bleu from physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, although his owner has chosen to continue with maintenance sessions to help keep him in top condition and support his long term mobility and strength 💙🐾
