🐾 Meet Douglas! 🐾

Douglas is a 10 month old Labrador who is having hydrotherapy with me. And of course… being a typical Labrador, he is always looking for food!

Hydrotherapy is a fantastic way for young dogs to build strength, stamina, and coordination without putting too much stress on their growing joints. The water provides gentle resistance to help develop muscle, while buoyancy reduces impact — making it safe and fun! 🐶
It’s also great for improving confidence, fitness, and body awareness as they grow.

This week, Johnny was discharged from physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. He was referred to me following a soft tissue injury to his left hindlimb and began hydrotherapy twice a week. He is now back to running around off lead like any crazy puppy and enjoying playtime with other dogs. Well done, Johnny 🥳 I will miss our cuddles in the water treadmill! 💜

I am delighted to share that we now have a Canine Stance Analyser in the clinic! 🐾

This piece of equipment measures how your dog distributes their weight through each limb while standing. Subtle imbalances can be an early sign of pain, discomfort, or underlying conditions such as arthritis, cruciate disease, or neurological changes.

By tracking these weight-bearing patterns over time, we can:

Meet Mango (AKA Mangs, Mongoose or Dobby) my 3 year old fox red Labrador 💜

For anyone who does not already know Mango, she has a very special story. She was born with swimmers syndrome and was sadly going to be put down at just 3 weeks old 😢 so I took her in, rehabbed her, and kept her. A full video of her incredible journey is pinned on my page and also available on my website, but make sure you have tissues ready! She is the reason Squirrels Chase Veterinary Physiotherapy started, I honestly owe everything to her, thank you Mango 💜

Mango is the best girl and is so well behaved. You will usually find her with a toy in her mouth. At night, she likes to be tucked in under fluffy blankets, and she is known to jump into water troughs during her walks. She is a typical Labrador and spends most of her day in bed and is a total foodie. Her favourite toys are a fluffy teddy bear or a sock 🧸🧦

But Mango does lack friends, so if anyone has a dog that would like to be her friend, please let me know!

She is a true fighter and the perfect best friend, love you Mango 🥭

I post a lot about all my clients dogs so I thought it was about time for me to introduce my two dogs and horse!

This is Cacao (Coco or K for short) my sassy 7 year old border collie.

She knows exactly what she wants and will let you know by being incredibly vocal. Every morning, she wants cuddles in bed (and I obviously don’t say no). She absolutely loves a ride in the car.

She is a typical collie with an incredible herding instinct, so loves to herd everything insight (including Mango, poor girl) so I make sure her herding instinct is fulfilled.

When it comes to treats, sausages are her absolute favourite and she loves her squeaky ball/bone and a slipper, even if it is on your feet! 😂

She loves helping me clean up the clinics by biting the hoover and playing with the hose. I wouldn’t have it any other way, she is my little baby and I absolutely love her! 🐶💜
