‘Ludo’ is an eye catching buckskin yearling (born 2021) gelding to make 16.1hh. By Hilkens All Cream out of a Caretino Glory x Krackatan mare, he is sure to excel at jumping whilst having 3 expressive paces to be competitive in the dressage arena too.
Hilkens All Cream is a superb Westfalen stallion, who has the most amazing temperament. A few years behind in his own education but now being produced and going out and about, he won his first dressage test and is an exciting stallion to watch.
We have owned Ludo’s dam, Mouse (Caretina’s Gold), since she was a weanling and he is her first and only foal. She has an exceptional temperament, nothing phases her and she is proving talented over a fence. Being young herself (5 this year) she has now gone to start her ridden career where she will go eventing and we look forward to following her progress.
Dam-sire Caretino Glory needs no introduction, with 3 floating paces and an extravagant, correct and careful technique over a fence. From being a super successful novice Champion where he won at HOYS in the Young Horse Evaluations, he then competed up to 1.60m and is still sound and having fun at stallion shows under saddle at 24 years old. Combine his talent and pedigree, with multiple of his progeny competing internationally at 4 and 5* showjumping and eventing, many competing nationally in BS, BD and BE, his offspring also make hunters and leisure horses.

Ludo is a lovely, friendly chap who will no doubt be a star in his own right when the time comes under saddle. He is well grown, correctly wormed and trimmed, vaccinated and lives out in a mixed herd well.

This absolutely delightful palomino filly was born just after 5am on 27.04.2022 🥰 By Hilkens All Cream out of our Furstenball x Rouletto x Contender, Oldenburg mare ‘Furst Lady’ (Flo).

She is being retained.

‘Whistler’ has had a busy couple of days with friends coming over to meet him. Such a friendly chap, he’s enjoyed every minute.

Delighted to introduce out youngest arrival, who was born just after 3am on 30.04.2022. This rather smart chap is by the showjumping stallion Tresaison Ricochet, out of our lovely young Brief Encounter x Freestyle Westfalia (Florestan) mare and will make around 16hh.

I’ve finally managed to sort out getting my page back after it was somehow unpublished a couple of years ago! We have lots of updates of past homebreds to add and new additions to introduce, so expect lots of new posts over the next couple of weeks 🤗 For now, here is a photo of our 3 lovely foals born in 2021 (photo taken in August 2021).
