Not a week to remember this week😢

As amazing and rewarding as this job is, there is also a very difficult side to it that doesn’t always get seen. This week, The pack has had to say goodbye to Milo and Honey who have now both crossed the rainbow bridge. 🌈

Working with dogs means getting to know them, their personalities, their little quirks, watch them make new friends within the pack and the love they bring into your life. Even when they aren’t your own, you build a bond with them, care for them and become part of their lives. The smile a dog can bring to your face when you open that door and there tail goes crazy🙂‍↕️ So when the time comes to say goodbye, it hurts more than people might realise.

I feel incredibly lucky to do a job where I get to spend my days surrounded by dogs, watching them have fun, getting pee’d on and smelling of fox sh*t however giving them the care and attention they deserve and becoming part of so many families’ lives. But this is the other side of it — the side that’s heartbreaking and reminds you just how precious their time with us really is.

To both Honey & Milo, thank you for all the memories and run free over that bridge 🌈🐶
