🐱 Are you a cat owner?

The Centre for Evidence Based Medicine at the University of Nottingham is carrying out a Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) funded research project to better understand cat owners' experiences of antibiotic treatment.

If you own a cat, your feedback could help inform how antibiotics are prescribed and used in veterinary practice, supporting responsible antibiotic use and helping tackle antimicrobial resistance.

The findings will provide valuable insights into the factors that influence antibiotic use in cats and help identify ways to support responsible antibiotic prescribing and use in companion animal veterinary practice.

Annabel had a great time visiting the P1/2 Class of Banavie Primary School recently!

The kids were so excited and keen to learn about how we care for animals. Through role playing we learnt how broken bones are diagnosed and treated and met a naughty puppy who had eaten something he shouldn't have!

Then they all got to meet her real life Labrador, Tig!

We were delighted to receive a beautiful thankyou card featuring Annabel and Tig, signed by all the children - Thankyou so much boys and girls!

Here is the handsome Findus, our slimmer of the month! Findus and his owners have been working extremely hard over the past few months after being told that Findus was carrying a bit too much weight. Findus was seen by one of our nurses at a specialist weight clinic. A target weight was calculated and also the correct amount of specialised weight loss food needed for Findus to reach this goal in a healthy timeframe.

Findus’s mum and the weight loss nurse kept in close contact over the past few months, weighing Findus and carefully changing the amount of food needed until he met his weight goal!!🥳

7.1kg ➡️ 6kg
Body condition 7(overweight) ➡️ 4/5 (ideal)

Huge well done to Findus and his owners for all their hard work and dedication!!!
