Introduction to Scent work and Tracking Workshop 🐕

We are delighted to announce that Luke will be joining us at WLCC for a two day workshop where he will cover everything from the theory of dectection , article indication and tracking upto you and your dog doing and indicating on your first track .
Here is a little bit about Luke , his knowledge and experience.
Luke James is a highly experienced dog trainer with over 30 years of hands-on work with working dogs. Specialising in bite work and tracking, Luke has trained IGP sport tracking dogs that have competed at the world championship level. He holds certification in detection and mantrailing, earned under one of Europe’s most respected scent dog trainers—whose system is used globally in both law enforcement and sport. Luke has also played a role in training dogs that have gone on to serve in special forces units. In addition to high-performance dogs, he regularly conducts scent work workshops for pet dogs, and has successfully trained a variety of non-traditional breeds in advanced disciplines.
This workshop will run on
27th July 12 - 1.30
This initial slot will be mainly theory so bring along a notebook and pen .
You will then be shown how to teach your dog article indication under the guidance of Luke .
3rd of August 12-3
The second slot is where you will put your theory and new found article indication into practice so please bring along lots of small , smelly treats , a longline and either a harness or wide flat collar.
The cost of the 2 day workshop is £75 per handler and dog.
