Clymping Dog Sanctuary is a Registered Charity under the Charities Act 1960 - Charity Reg No. 279937
Clymping first opened its doors back in 1952 by Mrs Kathleen Grellier and the then Duchess of Norfolk. As a sanctuary, we aim to find homes for any waifs & strays or otherwise unwanted dogs. We want all our dogs to be properly cared for and to feel safe and loved not only in the time they are with
us but also when they go to their forever homes. Our policy is to never put a clinically healthy dog down which means we sometimes have a few long-term "stayers" until the right owner comes along. From time to time, we do have dogs we take in that have health problems that require veterinary treatment. These health problems can sometimes be resolved after a few visits but sometimes they require regular checks or medication. Sometimes we have dogs that we feel will never be homed due to their condition or behavioural problems. It costs £20 per dog per day to house, feed and care for them. Add to that any vet bills (which can be huge!) on top of this means we rely on the generosity of others to help keep our shelter open, so we can help give all the gorgeous dogs the lives they deserve. You can help keep our kennels running by fundraising, volunteering or by donating, no matter how big or small, via the link on our page. We are so grateful for any support you can give us. Please remember, adopt don't shop! Your new best friend could be waiting for you at Clymping.
