Halloween can be unsettling for pets, with costumes, decorations, loud noises and lots of visitors. As an extra precaution, keep pets indoors during the evening, take dogs for their walks earlier in the day, and feed cats earlier before keeping them inside if possible.
Keep chocolate, sweets and decorations safely out of reach, and make sure your pet has a quiet space to retreat to if they feel anxious. It’s also worth checking that your pet’s microchip details are up to date, should they become frightened and escape.
A little preparation can help make Halloween safer and less stressful for everyone. 🎃
