We know that rain over a Bank Holiday is not ideal… but we’ve been waiting for rain for some time now!💦

When you’re feeling glum, just remember that these guys need the rain to grow!🌸

And we need the flowers so our pollinators can get ti work!🐝

Despite the weather resulting in the cancellation of the 24 hour BioBlitz… The Wild Youth group still met for some monitoring in our Conservation Area!🌳

They absolutely loved the evening and all learnt some new survey skills!🕷️

They were very happy to be able to capture some baseline survey data for the pond for use to compare surveys going forward💦

They also spotted lots of Hedgehog activity in our Conservation Area!🦔😍

🚨Important Site & Event Information🚨

We will be open from 10am today, however due to the storm last night, we have experienced some damage to the site.🚜

The team are working extremely hard to clear the site before opening and there will be some animal movements around the Farm & Zoo for today.

‼️Due to the weather, the BioBlitz will unfortunately not go ahead as planned and we hope to reschedule this to a future date🐾

The farm will still be open as usual from 10am-5pm! If you have any questions please give our office a call on 01623 882977

Due to the weather forecast, there has been some updates to our animal timetable of activities!💧

11:30: Will now be ‘Brunch with the Goats in The Silver Barn’ - Come along and feed the goats some tasty browse🐐

2pm: Go Active will be doing a Falcory Talk with their Birds of Prey, inside The Silver Barn🦅

3:30pm: Will now be ‘Dinner Time inside The Silver Barn’ where you can help our keepers feed the animals their supper😋

🦋Wild Youth Presents the Bank Holiday BioBlitz at White Post Farm & Zoo this Saturday!🦇

Join us this August Bank Holiday for an exciting wildlife discovery adventures with Wild Youth!

Wild Youth, alongside wildlife experts and conservationists, will be spending 24 hours uncovering the incredible wildlife that calls the farm & zoo home. From bats and moths to butterflies, birds, mini beasts and pond creatures, they’re on a mission to discover just how wild White Post Farm & Zoo really is!🐝

On Saturday, the public are invited to get involved with a range of FREE wildlife activities, including:

🦋 Guided Butterfly Identification Walks
🐸 Family Pond Dipping Sessions
🔍 Mini Beast Hunts
🦇 Meet the Experts Wildlife Talks
🌙 Moth Discoveries from the Night Surveys
🌿 Tree & Plant Identification Activities
📱 Help record wildlife using iNaturalist Citizen Science Projects

Whether you're a budding naturalist or simply curious about the nature on your doorstep, come along and help us discover, record and celebrate local wildlife.

These guys are super excited to meet all our visitors for the Exotic Keeper Evening!🐊

If you’ve always wanted the opportunity to feed some of these exotic animals including our meerkats and porcupines, you can come along for this peaceful evening and have a go at feeding as many as you’d like!🐍

You can purchase different exotic feed tubs on the night on a first come first serve basis!😋
