Because no dog deserves to be reactive for their whole life.

And the thing with reactivity; it just compounds without a structured training plan.

It will not get better with time, it'll get worse.

Take action before it takes over your life.

Drop us a DM to chat more about your dogs reactivity to see if we can help!

Extremely proud of this pair! πŸ•πŸ‘

Graham's a gorgeous, young whippet who came to me for barking, lunging and growling at any dog he saw. He'd also do this to people sometimes.

His owner could no longer walk her 3 dogs together and walking Graham had become a chore, certainly not fun! It was embarrassing for his owner.

Like most sighthounds, Graham massively lacked confidence in the outside world and his reactivity was fear-based. But he soon learnt that lunging and barking meant dogs didn't come closer and the habit stayed.

Graham's owner has committed to this process 100% and she's reaping the rewards from her hard work. Graham is much more confident and their communication is much clearer.
Most importantly, walking Graham is much more enjoyable 🐾

If you've got a dog like Graham, drop us a message to chat about how we can help you!

The right equipment can help. It can make communication clearer, improve timing snf give you more control.

But a lead does not teach loose-lead walking by itself. A collar does not teach heel. A harness doesn't create calm.

If the dog is still making every decision and the handler is still reacting late, the walk will still feel chaotic.

Calmer walks come from rules, timing, structure, freedom, boundaries and communication. Both in the home and outside of it.

A tool can support the training. It does not replace it.

Have you made any of these mistakes?

Does your dog behave in a similar way to Maisie after following advice you found online?

It's tough to sort the good advice from the truly shocking.

I've made the mistakes and followed the useless advice.

Now, you don't have to.

Recall isn't just a nice command to have. It's imperative. It's safety.

If your dog ignores you around other dogs, people, traffic, livestock or open spaces, that's not stubborness, that's shaky foundations. It usually means your recall has not been built clearly enough.

Most owners accidentally teach their dog that 'come' means you've got another 3 chances before I actually enforce anything.

Start boring, use a long line. Mark the turn back to you early. Reward properly. Build the reps and a habit before you make things harder.

If you want calmer, safer and more manageable walks, follow us for more tips that actually work.

Most reactive dog owners are not struggling because they don't care. They're struggling because they are trying to train in the hardest moment of the walk πŸ•

If your dog is already barking, lunging and spiralling out of control, you're already too late ❌️

The goal is to spot the trigger early, create space, mark the moment your dog can still think and reward before they tip over threshold.

Start boring. Build clean reps. Then gradually make the walk harder.

Reactivity can be tough on everyone.

The dog.

The owner.

And everyone else around.

Reactivity doesn't need to be forever.

Many of my clients thought this was just how their dogs were πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

But it wasn't and it doesn't have to be this way for you and your dog 🐢
