☀️ We all know it's hot, you don't need ANOTHER social media post to tell you, right? It's so extreme out there right now though, we feel the message can't be reinforced enough ...

As we returned to the aircon before 7am after super early morning walks, it was already 22 degrees. With the residual heat built up from such a long period of extreme heat, it feels hotter than that 🥵.

Our resident boarding dog, Nova, went back to bed. Smart girl. I'd also like to go back to bed after many consecutive early rises and late nights reminiscent of my 20s (dog walks replacing nightclubs 😉).

Today was going to be the day to update the page with all the fab pups we've looked after in June so far, but my brain is struggling so you'll have to wait a little longer 🥴😂.

Keep it simple for the rest of this week. Stay home if you can, keep cool, look after those precious pets 😎 🐕🐶💛💜

We’re pleased to let you know our boarding licence has been successfully transferred to our new Happy Dog HQ! Our books are open for stays from late September onward🏡✨

Even better, following our recent local authority inspection, we’ve retained the highest possible five-star rating 🌟, reflecting the first-class standards of care, welfare, professionalism and environment that we work so hard to provide for our guests (still just dogs but we have been asked if we accept owners too!) 😂💛

Our new HQ offers a more secluded spot and bigger garden for your dogs to enjoy, while still being based in the same area as before, surrounded by exceptional countryside in the lovely village of Ewshot🏡

We know how important it is to leave your dog somewhere wholly trustworthy. Our clients can carry on booking with confidence, knowing our boarding service remains:

Happy Dog Holiday Care’s Hot Weather Promise 🥵

With high temperatures on the way, your dog’s welfare is our number one priority 🐶☝️

We’ll be switching to super‑early (best time of day! 🌅) and late‑evening walkies, keeping dogs indoors during the hottest hours, and making sure the paddling pool is topped up 💦

We encourage everyone to do the same. If you use another dog care service (firstly… why? 😉), make sure you know what heat‑safety measures they have in place. Adjusting routines might be inconvenient, but business‑as‑usual simply isn’t safe in this weather 🐶💜💛

🌿 Spring at Happy Dog Holiday Care

This season has been full of sunny walkies, tailored sits and bespoke pop-in visits, and we are thoroughly enjoying the longer days and lighter evenings 🥰.

While there has been a little less content from us recently (boarding especially), that is for exciting reasons — and something we look forward to sharing in due course ✨😊

For now, we’d like to remind clients that we continue to offer:
🐾 Pop-in visits
🐾 House and pet sitting in your own home
🐾 We are also taking boarding enquiries for August and beyond (with a little capacity at the end of June / early July)
