It’s time for our feline guests to shine 🥰 The Burnside team loves spending time with the cats staying with us. The team get to know what they like and they enjoy lots of cuddles as well as play time with our younger guests. Our cleverly designed pens allow lots of space and choice of where to sit and sleep as well as a window sill to enjoy the view outside.

The priority of the Burnside team is always to spend their time looking after the cats and dogs left in our care and not taking photos. We have been blessed with some very good weather this summer, at times it’s been unseasonably warm! Our normal routine at Burnside is tweaked on the very hot days, just to make sure our guests are always at a comfortable temperature and not put at risk of heatstroke. We monitor the temperatures inside via an app on our phones, having the hatches open from 8am until late evening helps provide a cooling breeze, as well as using the mesh doors at the ends of each block for ventilation. If despite that it gets too warm inside then we have built in air conditioning to cool it down. On the very hot days the dogs go out first thing in the morning as normal, the walks at the hotter times of day are used to let each dog go to the toilet in the cool of the trees, and then the evening walks are extended to allow them to exercise when it is cooler outside. Here are photos of some more of the dogs who stayed with us during July 🥰🐾❤️

Some of the schools are now back and it’s beginning to feel a bit quieter at Burnside and so it’s a good time to reflect on where we’ve come from and where we are now. In the space of 15 months we’ve grown the Burnside team as we’ve got busier and what a wonderful team we now have. All so kind and patient, diligently looking after all our guests with care and compassion, doing their very best to make sure that all enjoy their time with us. Thank you for helping us make Burnside so wonderful. Here are some more of the dogs who stayed with us in July.

We have now been open for 14 months and today we received our 100th 5* review across Google and Facebook. We’d like to say a huge thank you to all who have trusted us to look after their dogs and cats since we opened, and an especially big thank you to all those who have taken the time to write a review afterwards. We would also like to say thanks to the incredible team we have at Burnside who look after our boarders on a daily basis. Kerry, Steve, Kiera, Abbie, Karis, Linda, Beth, Paige, Anne, Kelsey, Millie, Rebecca and Brooke, you do a great job and we are very proud of you.
