The weather is great at the moment but some of our beloved pets are struggling with the heat 🥵 I am very busy and doing my best to fit your furry friends in for grooming ✂️ in the meantime there are lots of things you can do to help them stay cooler 😎 cool coats are fantastic, they can keep your dog cool upto 10hrs, put down cool mats for them to lie down on, a fan is great, doggy ice-cream and ice put in the dogs water bowl. Kong chew toys filled with your dogs favourite treats, cream cheese and smooth peanut butter put in the freezer is refreshing and keeps them occupied. Wet towels are great if placed on the floor and/or wipe your dog down on their bellies not their back, a dog paddling pool is great too but don't let your dogs temperature drop from very hot to very cold as the cold water can send them into shock and can be fatal 😳 Please Do-Not take your dog out during the day when the sun is out the pavements can burn the dogs pads and dogs have been known to die from heat exhaustion. A customer told me today how she saw someone running in the mid-day sun with her dog - you try running or even walking with a fur coat on and no shoes!! 😱 Hope you all have a lovely summer and stay safe 🐶🏖️🐾🍦🧊🐕🤩
