Is it just me, or is your anxiety at full capacity in the first hour of every market 🫠

I may of been trading for nearly 6 years now but that first hour never gets any easier 🤯😅 The imposter syndrome is real and there is nothing wrong in that!
Should we have more faith in ourselves, yes. But we worry because we care about our businesses so much and that is something we should never apologise for 🫶

Oh May, what a month you’ve been!
Every season was experienced this month including hail ❄️☔️☀️🥵🌬️

Some big things happened in May…
I got to go back to my home town for the 4th year and be reminded why I love what I do (we all forget sometimes).

A very exciting updated brand shoot with the lovely - results coming soon!

Tried out some new markets which I’m hoping to return to again 🤞

Plenty of lovely coffee catch-ups spending a lot longer there than originally planned 😅

Stupid amount of time cutting/sewing and restocking products thanks to you lovely lot 🙏🏻

Got to feature on a podcast with the lovely - available now to listen too

And of course quality time with the head of the business when he isn’t busy judging me 😂

Looking forward to seeing what June has in store 🫶

Can’t wait to be back!

Cambridge Pride 2026 is just 2 weeks away!

There’s so much to look forward to at Cambridge Pride on Jesus Green, including a variety of acts on the main stage, the Community Hive (with speakers, stands, comedy and a dog show!), DJ sets in the Dance Tent, art workshops, our chill wellbeing area, stalls to shop at and a range of different food stands to choose from!

Ely Pride stands firmly with our trans siblings today and always 🏳️‍⚧️

We have taken a few days to make a public post whilst we think about what we can do as a charity.

The message we need you to hear is this:
We do not support the Equality and Human Rights Commissions updated quidance, made on 21st Mav 2026, following the Supreme Court ruling made in April of 2025.

We believe this decision risks further marginalising trans people and creating fear, exclusion, and uncertainty in evervday life.

We held a protest last year following the initial Supreme Court ruling, and were blown away by the support that was shown by our community both here in Ely, and from further afield too.

As a charity we will continue to be a safe space for our trans siblings. We will continue to fight for the rights of all LGBTQIA+ people in our community and further afield and will continue to work within Ely to try to make changes that really matter for people's acceptance and safety.

TRANS RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS!

You belong; in society, in our community, in our spaces, in our future. We will continue to celebrate, support, and stand beside you.

To better support the trans community, Ely Pride has created a new group named Ely Harbour, which meets on a monthlv basis. Ely Harbour provides a safe space to meet, chat and support each other. Attendees are welcome to bring some food to share, however this is entirely optional.

🏳️‍🌈June Markets🏳️‍⚧️

Can you believe it’s already June next week 😱 this year is going far too quickly!

See below all the exciting I have planned for June ☀️🕶️

5th June - My first market with 10am - 2pm

6th June - My monthly Saturday market at next to the wonderful .kitchen11 🍰 8:30am - 3:30pm

13th June - 4th year back at with the wonderful & 12pm - 9:30pm 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

19th - 20th June - Back for my 2nd year at home & garden but this year I’ll be in my gazebo on the grounds (no ticket required for the gardens!)

28th June - My first of the year, which is always full to the brim with amazing small business traders 10am - 3pm

Which one will we be seeing you at? 🫶🫶

Pride month in less than 7 days away and YES should it be celebrated all year round of course, but I see June as an opportunity to remind people how amazing we are as a community 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

And I will be back for my 4th year 😱 joined by my partners in crime & so make sure to put the 13th June in your calendar it’s going to be epic!
