Mabel is back from her holidays staying with granny, we had an absolutely fantastic walk on Thursday afternoon last week. I was fully expecting some apprehensiveness after her couple of weeks away but she was full of love and confidence when I went to pick her up.

We managed a full walk, work no barking at strangers too! Her humans should be super proud of her wee self! 💖

What is an individually tailored dog walk? 🐾

Ted's walk this afternoon was a great example!

Ted is a young Malamute x Staffy with plenty of energy, a love of life, and lots of important skills still to learn. Walks for Ted aren't just about exercise, they're an opportunity to build his recall, practise good choices, experience new things, and develop his social skills.

Today, my mum joined us and brought along Noki.

Ted and Noki get on like a house on fire, but their friendship offers so much more than just playtime. As an older, more mature dog, Noki is a fantastic role model. Noki's energy levels and play style match Ted's energy perfectly. He helps Ted learn appropriate social skills, practise disengaging when needed, and enjoy the company of another dog in a safe and positive way.

For Ted, that social time is every bit as important as the miles we cover.

That's what an individually tailored walk means to us. Looking at each dog's needs and asking ourselves, "What will benefit this dog most today?"

Because no two dogs are the same, and their walks shouldn't be either. 🩵🤎

I could not be more proud of Bella, last Thursday I went to pick her up and she was so happy to see me, jumped right in the van, and we went for a lovely walk with only one Bella break!

This has only taken us a handful of sessions, some patience and understanding, and a cheeky tube of liver paste to achieve! Bella has gone from flat out refusing to set nose or paw inside the van to hopping in herself, excited for her next adventure!

Looking forward to exploring, and most importantly, being able to take her to the woods when it's too warm for her furry wee self!

Yesterday's weather was absolutely miserable, but Homer didn't care in the slightest! ☔🐾

It was our first walk together in quite a while, and this big lad was so excited to be out and about. Homer is a very anxious boy and has struggled with reactivity around other dogs, so it was brilliant to see him out enjoying himself and making such good choices on his walk!

Ali joined us yesterday too, and Homer took to her brilliantly. She's been working with me for a wee while now and is a fantastic asset to the team. Despite Homer's size and enthusiasm, she handled him beautifully with her usual calm, steady approach 😌
