Honeycat Rescue have been asked to help with a direct home to home cat adoption for Cleo, a 2 year old, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated short haired, affectionate black female cat. Please read what her owners have said about her below and if you're interested, please make contact with us in the first instance. We will then pass your details on to Cleo's owner for her to make direct contact with you. Her owner is looking to do a direct home from home adoption. Please note that Honeycat Rescue will just be an intermediary in this:
Cleo is a lovely 2-year-old cat who is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, with no known health issues.

She is a friendly, affectionate girl who enjoys being around people. She likes sitting on laps or next to us on the sofa, loves being stroked, and is brilliant with our 2-year-old daughter. She happily lets her stroke her and is comfortable sitting beside her.

Cleo is lively, playful and full of character. She enjoys playing with a cat wand, is quite talkative, and absolutely loves curling up in the cat hammocks we have on our radiators. She prefers wet food, but does eat some biscuits.

Before coming to us, Cleo was a stray, so she is confident spending time outdoors and enjoys being outside. Because of this, we think she would suit a home where she can have safe access to outdoor space.

Cleo has never lived with dogs, so we don’t know how she would respond to them. Unfortunately, she hasn’t integrated well with our existing two cats. She can be quite direct in her approach, which we think may come from her time as a stray, and our cats have found this difficult. For that reason, we feel Cleo would be happiest as the only cat in the home.

She’s a loving, sociable and playful cat who would make a wonderful companion in the right home.

Hercules needs a very specific type of home, in so much as he is a shy lad, who takes time to get to know his new person and learn to trust them. I have spent 3 weeks, giving him time and patience and he has flourished from a scared cat with ears down and refusing touch, to loving strokes, being groomed, fed treats and talked to.
He does currently have a habit of getting over excited and “mouthing” at your hand or arm, but his teeth have never broken my skin, he’s just over stimulated and enjoying the loving & attention that he hasn’t previously had, so it needs someone with time and love to give, that will work with him at a slow pace and teach him just how good life can be for a beloved kitty.
He came in as an unneutered stray from London, caught by an amazing group of ladies. He has been neutered, is microchipped and we have had him blood tested for FIV/FELV and he is thankfully negative for both. Our vets have aged him at circa 4 years old, he is white & tabby, with the capacity to love a new owner, of that I have no doubts, based on the progress in just 3 weeks. He is litter trained, easy to feed and now looking for his purrfect new owner.
Due to his requirements of a slow build up, I think he would be best suited to an adult only home. Whilst he has obviously been outdoors previously, although that would be nice for him to be able to go outdoors again, in time, I do not foresee it being a problem for him if he was an indoor only cat.
Homecheck & adoption fees apply.

We are looking for a purrfect home for a REALLY lovely pair of bonded brothers that we've just had brought in this week from Kent, as their owner sadly passed away? They're Benji (white and black) and Ronnie (black & white). They're 11 and 9 respectively but have been SO well looked after and we have the full veterinary history for both of them.
Benji has recently had a dental - no cost has been spared on ensuring they are fit and healthy by their previous owner. They're both neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated and have religiously been kept up to date with their flea and worm treatments throughout their lives. They are both ultra friendly and affectionate and really lovely lads.
We realise they might be a bit older than you might ordinarily have been looking for, but it would be impossible to come and meet them and not fall completely in love with them, they're adorable, and although he doesn't look it in the photo, Ronnie is quite a big lad.
Homecheck and adoption fee will apply. They are noted as tolerating cat friendly dogs and are used to children. They are "other cat inquisitive" but introductions would need to be done slowly. They are used to being indoor and outdoor.

THANK YOU

We at Honeycat Rescue would like to say a very big thank you, to all of the friends and family of the late Reginald Simmonds who so kindly donated to Honeycat Rescue in Reginald's memory. We are truly grateful for your generosity and for supporting our cause. One of our newest intakes, Hercules adds his appreciation too, as it will help towards his veterinary needs.

🐾 Timmy – Looking for His Forever Home 🐾
Timmy is a handsome young boy, currently 1 year and 8 months old (he’ll be 2 in August). He has recently been neutered, microchipped, and treated for worms. His vaccination status is currently unknown, so he may need to be vaccinated.
I took Timmy in at the beginning of March after he was at risk of being put out onto the street. He was in quite a poor state when he arrived, but since then he has received lots of care, attention, and love, along with the medical treatment he needed.
When Timmy first came to me, he was very calm and affectionate. Since being neutered and due to the changes in his environment, he has become a little reactive at times. Because I have young children and other cats, I’ve had to keep him in a separate room, which isn’t ideal for him and likely adds to his stress.
Timmy would really benefit from a calm, patient home where he can have the time, space, and attention he needs to feel safe and settled again. For this reason, I believe he would be best suited to an adult-only home with no other pets.
He has no known health issues and has a great appetite — he enjoys both wet and dry food and isn’t fussy with flavours. His favourite treats are Dreamies and Lick-e-Lix!
In his previous home, Timmy lived with teenagers, and he has also spent some time around my young children. He hasn’t been around dogs, and while he has previously lived with another cat, I feel he would thrive best as the only pet.
Timmy is an adventurous boy who would likely enjoy access to the outdoors, alongside having a safe and loving home to return to.
Despite everything, Timmy is incredibly affectionate once he feels comfortable. He absolutely loves curling up on your lap with a blanket and will happily sleep there for hours. He isn’t overly keen on constant petting but will let you know (very vocally!) when he wants attention.
He has really bonded with me, which makes this decision very difficult. However, I know that in the right home, with someone who can give him the time and understanding he deserves, Timmy will truly flourish and become a wonderful companion.

If you think you could offer Timmy the loving home he needs, please get in touch 💛
Kind regards,

Mel

UPDATE: Timmy has now gone into a rescue in Banbury to be looked after and eventually rehomed from there, so I will turn off commenting for this post now.

Honeycat Rescue have been asked to help with a direct home to home cat adoption for Ricky, a 6/7 year old, neutered, vaccinated, long-haired, affectionate black & white cat. Please read what his owners have said about him below and if you're interested, please make contact with us in the first instance. We will then pass your details on to Ricky's owner for her to make direct contact with you. His owner is looking to do a direct home from home adoption. Please note that Honeycat Rescue will just be an intermediary in this:

Hi everyone, This is Ricky, we got him about 8 months ago from the vets, he is vaccinated and neutered and no health issues apart from intolerance to some foods. He does well on chicken cat food wet and dry but not so good on other flavours. He was reported to the vets multiple times for being seen as a stray around the area. He ended up in a cage in the basement of the vets and unfortunately had lost muscle mass due to being in the cage for 5-6 weeks. He is a big strong boy now and has recovered well. He is estimated by the vets to be 6/7 years old. He is a black and white tuxedo cat and very loving and friendly. He is timid around strangers so going to a new home would take some time for him to be comfortable however after a month or two of having him ourselves he went from being shy and hiding to coming for cuddles on the sofa and moving about the house comfortably and playing.

He is fine with children, we even have chickens that free range and he will comfortably mooch around the garden with them and not be bothered about approaching them which shows his calm nature.

He has mainly been an indoor cat however the last few weeks he has been an outdoor cat, but he is fine with that and always comes back when called. He does recognise his name ‘Ricky’ well.
He does prefer to be indoors but he sleeps all through the night quietly when he has that space outside to roam in the day.

There have been some issues regarding toileting, our other cat continues to use her own litter tray as well as his no matter how many times I try to keep her away from it. Her scent puts him off using it unfortunately even if I clean it straight away so he has been going to the toilet in our home instead, the first few weeks when Ricky and our other cat were staying away from each other because of nerves he happily used his own litter tray with no issue as our other cat never went near it. As a family with a toddler who is into everything it’s become too much to manage as we have to have eyes in the back of our head to make sure our child isn’t near any mess that may have happened before we notice it.
This is the sole reason we are looking for a new home for him. We are very sad to have to make this decision but we also know if he can go to a loving home that will have him as the only cat so there are no toileting issues and he can have his own undisturbed litter tray we do believe that will be better for him.

He does need chicken flavour cat food only due to intolerances to other flavour cat foods, he safely eats tuna or chicken breast as a treat sometimes too.
He has long hair so will need a brush once or twice a week too.

Overall he’s a lovely lovely boy, loves a cuddle, can be picked up by people he trusts and will cuddle in and he loves a kiss on the head and ear or back scratch.
We feel broken and guilty for making this post but if someone loving can come along and scoop him up and after everything he’s been through give him his final forever home I am more than happy to give him that chance even if it leaves a little hole in my heart
I would love to have him go to someone and know how he’s getting on, I am also available to message for any new owner of him needing any advice or tips as he is settling in.

Thank you for considering little Ricky,

Elizabeth

Honeycat Rescue have been asked to help with a direct home to home cat adoption for Bonnie, a 7 month old, spayed, vaccinated, long-haired, very affectionate black cat. Please read what her owners have said about her below and if you're interested, please make contact with us in the first instance. We will then pass your details on to Bonnie's owner for her to make direct contact with you. Her owner doesn't want her to go into a rescue, but wants to do a direct home from home adoption. Please note that Honeycat Rescue will just be an intermediary in this:

Hi,

This is Bonnie, she's very petite, very pretty, very fluffy and fully black. She was born in July.
She is spayed and fully vaccinated.
She doesn't like being outside and just wants love and affection. She will follow you around and want cuddles all day if she could.
She has had a few accidents but we are sure it's because of being around a very hyper autistic 4-year-old. When he's too noisy, she hides and has had a couple of accidents in the room she hides in. She can be scared as noise and fast movements.
Bonnie went to stay at my parents to see if she would be happier there . She had no accidents while she was there as it's a quiet home with only my parents and older sister. Unfortunately, she cannot stay with them as their cat would not take to her.
We are looking for a forever, indoor home for Bonnie. We cannot take her to cats' protection as she will not deal with being locked away from people.
If you think you can give Bonnie a home, please contact Honeycat Rescue who will pass your details onto me.

Our darling Pom has gone off to his new home this afternoon. We're going to miss him as he has such a delightful character, but I am so happy for him, and being FIV+ they can sometimes be overlooked. He's gone to a lovely couple in Brighton to an indoor only home. Good luck Pomsy, go have a wonderful life ❤️ 💙 😊

I am looking for a kind person to donate a little bit of their free time to help out Honeycat Rescue please - only criteria is that you need an electric saw, though a hand saw and a lot of grit will probably do the job just as well! We are trying to get the Rescue ready for Spring and need to get some wooden panels cleared, but they're too large to get in my car to go to the tip, so need them cutting down please? TIA
