🚨 Important Update for Bird Keepers & Poultry Owners 🚨

Due to a sharp rise in Avian Influenza (bird flu) cases across the UK, mandatory housing measures will come into force from 00:01 on 30th October.

📍 This affects all keepers of 50+ birds, and anyone who sells or gives away eggs or poultry products — even if you keep fewer than 50 birds — in the following areas:
Cheshire, Cumbria, Derbyshire, Durham, East Riding of Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Merseyside, Norfolk, North Yorkshire, Northumberland, Nottinghamshire, Rutland, Shropshire, South Yorkshire, Staffordshire, Suffolk, Tyne & Wear, and West Yorkshire.

👉 All keepers in these areas must house their birds and follow strict biosecurity measures to help stop the spread.

If you’re in a Protection Zone outside these regions, housing your birds is also required.
The wider AIPZ (Avian Influenza Prevention Zone) with mandatory biosecurity remains in place.
