As a female business owner, International Women's Day is really important to me. In 1975, the UN proclaimed that it was International Women's Year but 50 years later, we are still five generations away from gender equity across the world.

To , we all need to speak up and push for women and we need men as allies to do that. I've had men talk directly to my husband when I was starting my business instead of me, or dismissing my opinions or concerns when voiced. I'm sure it wasn't meant maliciously (or sometimes even consciously) but whenever that happens, it teaches women and girls that their voice, thoughts and opinions are less important than others.

Let's all stand together in helping women push forward and achieve their potential, it can only make the world a better place 🩷

On that note, I'd like to shout out a few amazing female owned businesses who we've either met and worked with along the way, or I just love their products and think they're amazing 🤩

And let's not forget our wonderful team, Lindsay, Linda and Laura, who work hard every shift to make sure our poochy visitors have the best time, and quite frankly, make running a business so much easier than it should be, thank you so much for your support 🩷
