As of today 16/11/25 both Karen and I (Jodie) will be unable to help with missing dogs this includes scanning and taking in strays.

Please do message in and if one of the team can assist with over the phone advise they will. But for now we will not be able to help or assist ‘on the ground’

Sadly we both have a fair amount going on in our personal lives.
This hasn’t been a decision we have made lightly but we just cannot be in two paces at once right now.

So sorry for any inconvenience. We will be back as soon as we can ###

The stray dog process for Wiltshire 🐶

✅ Setting the Record Straight: Our Stray Dog Process

We’ve seen some speculation online about what happens to stray dogs collected by Wiltshire Council. We want to reassure you and share the facts:

🐾 Every stray dog is scanned for a microchip. If details are found, we contact the registered keeper by phone, email, and post.

🏠 If we can’t reach the owner, the dog is taken to our holding kennels for 7 days. During this time, they receive care and any medical treatment needed while we continue efforts to reunite them with their family.

❤️ After 7 days, dogs are gifted to a rehoming charity we’re proud to work with. They carry out full behavioural and medical assessments to find the best possible home.

⚠️ In rare cases, if a dog poses a serious risk to the public or its health is severely compromised, a difficult decision may be made in the interest of the dog and public safety.

Wiltshire Council and our partner charities work tirelessly for the best outcomes. In fact, we’ve recently been awarded the RSPCA Platinum Award for our stray dog services. This is the highest award available.

The team had a lovely relaxed evening with Natasha at Wood Wellbeing Soundbath . We have had a very busy few weeks and it was lovely to be able to relax and switch off for an hour 🧘‍♂️

We have had a young black and grey, entire male cat brought in to us. Found: Dorset Close, Bulford
No microchip
He does have some minor injuries so he is safe but we are keen to find who he belongs to
