🐾 Why I Always Offer a Free Meet & Greet 🐾

One of the most important parts of dog walking and cat sitting isn't the walk or the visit itself—it's building trust.

That's why I always offer a free meet and greet before any booking.

As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to feel completely comfortable with the person looking after your furry family member. Meeting beforehand gives us a chance to chat, go through your pet's routine, and make sure we're a good fit for each other.

It also gives your dog or cat the opportunity to meet me first, so I'm not a complete stranger when I arrive for their walk or visit. I love getting to know each pet's personality and learning all the little things that make them unique.

My aim is always to provide the same love, care and attention that I would want for my own pets, and that starts with taking the time to build a relationship from day one.

If you're looking for someone caring, reliable and genuinely passionate about animals, I'd love to meet you and your pets. ❤️🐾

Natural treat boxes from Bear & co 👇

Natural dog treats—such as single-ingredient meats, fish, and vegetables—offer superior health benefits over processed alternatives. They improve digestion, support healthy coats with Omega-3s, and promote cleaner teeth. Free from artificial fillers, they are perfect for allergy-prone dogs and provide natural, calming mental stimulation.

Tuesday's with Benny's pack 🐾

The heat has been quite misleading today. I assessed each dog and made sure before each walk the pavement was checked for heat safety 🦺

And also humidity levels especially for brache breed dogs, the humidity can be very dangerous very fast!!!

Quick small toilet breaks in the shade for those dogs that won't toilet in their back garden and back for some enrichment in their gardens and made sure all dogs had opportunities to escape the heat, and go indoors and were encouraged to for breaks

Heat is getting a little better this week, so hopefully we will go back into our walking adventures

Swimming can be an excellent exercise and enrichment for many dogs. It’s low-impact, mentally stimulating, and especially useful for certain breeds or health conditions.

Physical benefits
Low-impact exercise
Swimming reduces stress on joints while still providing a full-body workout. It’s often recommended for dogs with arthritis, hip dysplasia, or recovery needs.

Builds muscle and endurance
Water resistance strengthens muscles, improves cardiovascular fitness, and can help maintain a healthy weight.

Joint mobility
Gentle movement in water can improve flexibility and range of motion.

Cooling exercise in warm weather
Swimming helps active dogs exercise without overheating as quickly as they might on land.

Mental and behavioral benefits
Mental stimulation
New environments, water movement, and retrieving games engage a dog’s brain.

Stress reduction
Many dogs find swimming calming and confidence-building.

Healthy outlet for energy
Great for high-energy breeds that need substantial activity.

With temperatures reaching 22°C today alongside high humidity, we’ll be swapping some walks for enrichment garden time instead.

While 22 degrees may not feel extreme to us, high humidity makes it much harder for dogs to cool themselves down safely. Dogs can’t regulate heat like humans do, and warm, humid conditions can quickly lead to overheating, exhaustion, or heatstroke — especially during exercise.

Instead, our dogs will enjoy plenty of mental stimulation, scent work, paddling pools, shaded play, enrichment activities, and calm garden time to keep them happy, safe, and comfortable throughout the day.

Their wellbeing always comes first 💛🐾
