It’s that time of year when we start to see ticks!! Horrible little things they are too!!

Here’s a tip of the day - we learnt on our doggy first aid course, if you find a tick on your dog, remove it if you can but dont squash it. Instead, place it in a small plastic bag or container then place it in the freezer for up to 6 weeks. That way, if your dog was to become poorly and needs veterinary attention you can then take the frozen blood sucker to the vets with you and it could help the vet diagnose and treat your dog sooner!!

If you can’t remove the little creepy crawly feel free to call us and we will remove it if we can!

We also use an antiseptic spray called Leucillin to clean the area after removing any tick to help keep any nasty things out and all our shampoos we use in the salon have a natural deterrent to fleas and tick, both of which are available in the salon!!
