While the air temperature might seem bearable, remember that the pavement can be scorching hot for our furry friends' paws 🔥
⚠️ If you can't hold the back of your hand to the pavement for 5-7 seconds, it's too hot for your dog's delicate paws.
Protecting your pet's paws is key during the summer months. Opt for walks during cooler times of the day and stick to grassy areas where possible.

☀️ Summer days are here, and it's important to keep our furry friends hydrated!
Whether it's a trip to the park or a garden play session, make sure your pup has access to plenty of fresh water to beat the heat.
Remember, a hydrated dog is a happy dog! 🐶

Exercising in temps over 20 degrees can be a risk to fit healthy dogs, much lower for elderly, obese, flat-faced or large breed dogs 🌡️🔥
Stay safe and enjoy the glorious weather 🌞

Losing a pet can be one of the toughest life experiences 🌈
Everyone is different, but these strategies can help if you are struggling with the loss of a pet:
🕯️ Talking to a friend, family member, doctor, or Pet Bereavement Counsellor
🕯️ Memorialising your pet
🕯️ Writing down your thoughts
🕯️ Taking time to look after yourself
We highly recommend checking out either Compassion Understood or The Ralph Site for pet loss and grief support https://www.theralphsite.com/https://www.compassionunderstood.com/

Annual vaccinations are important to protect your pet from harmful diseases.
Your pet’s health is important to us. If your pet’s vaccination protection has lapsed and a course of two vaccinations are needed to re-start immunity, we’ll bring their vaccinations up to date for the price of a regular annual booster.
Speak to a member of our team to book an appointment or for more information.

Got a puzzle feeder toy for your dog? AND you have a freezer? Well then…May we suggest portioning some of your dogs wet food into said puzzle feeder, freeze that bad boy overnight and you’ll have a tasty cool dog treat!
If you only feed your dog dry food, don’t despair! You can soak their biscuits in water and then pop them in the puzzle feeder.🐶
Have you tried this before? Got other cool treat ideas? We’d love to hear them below! ⬇️

Tuna + Water + Freezer = 😻
Grab a tin of tuna in water (not brine or oil) and mash it up a little. Pop a little bit of water into the tuna. Next, you’ll need to put SMALL cat sized dollops into an ice cube tray and leave in the freezer overnight.
A lovely cool treat for lovely cool cats! What summer treats do you make for your cat? 😎

When Stephen and Natalie Arundell were first looking to establish their own veterinary practice, they struggled to find the right location.
The solution, when they arrived at it, was a novel one: why not just convert a part of their own home?
That was in Toll Bar in 2006, and since then the practice hasn’t stopped growing, opening a second site on Bennetthorpe in the centre of Doncaster in 2013, and now employing over 30 team members.
Despite that expansion, Arundell has retained its family flavour. Stephen and Natalie are clinical director and practice manager respectively. Claire, Stephen’s sister, is head receptionist at the Bennetthorpe branch. Daughter Charlotte was brought into the business and remains involved in veterinary services. But more than that, Arundell are proud to think of their clients and patients as an extension of the family.
Offering all the services you expect from your local small animal practice, with in-house laboratory and diagnostics facilities, Arundell is a community-led, family-focused veterinary clinic serving the pets and people of Doncaster.
